Fasciospongia cavernosa[2][3][4][5][6][7][8] är en svampdjursart som först beskrevs av Schmidt 1862. Fasciospongia cavernosa ingår i släktet Fasciospongia och familjen Thorectidae.[9][10] Utöver nominatformen finns också underarten F. c. pyriformis.[9]
