Cnidopus japonicus[7] är en havsanemonart som först beskrevs av Addison Emery Verrill 1870. Cnidopus japonicus ingår i släktet Cnidopus och familjen Actiniidae.[10][11] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[10]
