Stamina numerous, ex-serted, (10 to 200,) with the capillary filaments more or less unitedinto a tube. Legume broadly linear, compressed, 1-celled. Seedsusually covered with pulp, more rarely with a pellicle or with fari-naceous matter. Shrubs or trees of warm or tropical climates, chiefly indigenous toIndia and America, usually unarmed. Flowers in spikes or globularheads, red or white, rarely yellow. BLUNT-LEAVED INGA.
