Aprostocetus xanthopus[9] är en stekelart som först beskrevs av Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck 1834. Aprostocetus xanthopus ingår i släktet Aprostocetus och familjen finglanssteklar.[9][10][11] Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[11] Inga underarter finns listade.[9]
